Tokyo Electric Railway (Toden Tram)

The Toden Arakawa tram line operates in northern and eastern Tokyo outside the main tourist areas. The line is 12.2km long and a one way trip takes approximately 50 minutes. It is mostly private right-of-way operations but there is a short street-running segment between Asukayama and Oji-Ekimae stations.

  • (numbers, date, builder, notes)
  • 7001-7030, built 1954, Arunakoki (not all numbers remain in fleet)
  • 8501-8505, built 1990, Arunakoki
  • 9001-9002, built 2007, Aruna vehicle (these cars are new in a "historic" style)
  • 8801-8810, built 2009, Aruna vehicle

Some historic cars remain on the roster as well (5501, 7504, etc).
