Enoshima, Japan
The Enoshima Electric Railway or Enoden line connects the cities of Fujisawa and Kamakura in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Stations en route include Hase, the stop closest to Kōtoku-in, the temple with the colossal outdoor statue of Amida Buddha, and Enoshima, a seaside town with several tourist attractions. There are beaches a short walk from many stops between Enoshima and Kamakura. The line opened in 1902, as a mostly single track, 1067mm gauge railway, 10km long with 15 stations. There are passing sidings at five stations, and there is a short length of street running between Enoshima and Koshigoe stations.
