Broadway/Nassau Street Station · Opened 2/11/1933

Two tracks, one island platform. This is the last stop in Manhattan, and its proximity to the East River is reflected in its round deep-bore tunnel construction. The tile band is lilac purple with a much darker purple border, and renovations are planned for the near future (1999-2000). A full mezzanine allows transfer to the Fulton Street stations of the BMT Nassau St. and both IRT Brooklyn branches. Departing this station, we pass through the Cranberry Street tunnels to Brooklyn.

Some relative depths of stations in the Broadway/Nassau complex are as follows, +/- 10 feet.

  • IND Platforms: 60 feet
  • IRT 2/3 Fulton Street: 50 feet
  • BMT Northbound Fulton Street: 50 feet
  • BMT Southbound Fulton Street: 20 feet
