Christopher Street/Sheridan Square Station · Opened 7/1/1918

A local station with two side platforms. Mosaic panels on the walls also indicate a secondary name of "New York University". There are sealed up crossunders at each end. The building shown in the tile mosaic band (see above and photograph below) is the old State Penitentiary at West 10th St.
