Howard Beach Station · Opened 6/28/1956

We arrive at Howard Beach/JFK Airport which has no windscreen southbound, only low concrete with chain link fence on top. There is a crossover which is glass enclosed and leads to the mezzanine and fare control which is over the tracks. The station also has a raised relief painted mural on the northbound platform entitled On Beaches of Harmony Bay (no date). This mural features fish with human heads. There is a canopy only at the north end of the platforms. At the south end, the three tracks become two tracks.
