Westchester Square (IRT Pelham Line)

Westchester Square Station · Opened 10/24/1920

This completely renovated station has glass block tile and "uptown" and "downtown" directional mosaics in the mezzanine. From the northbound platform one is afforded a good view of the Bronx-Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges. The Westchester Yard is to the north and west side of the station. There are no windscreens and the canopy is new. An interesting geometric sculpture hangs from the ceiling in the mezzanine.
