Times Square Station · Opened 4/21/1917Two tracks, one island platform. This terminal station is part of the larger Times Square complex serving the BMT Broadway and IRT 7th Avenue lines, constructed at different times and for different operators, and as such has various stairways and escalators leading to various mezzanine and intermediate levels, too complex to
fully describe here.
The mosaic band has "TS" highlights, and there is an old name tablet reading "Times Square" at the east end near the tower. Some old black on white signs indicating the station name hang along the platform but due to the ongoing renovations, these are an endangered species.
