The roof of this tunnel actually slopes downward (and eventually meets the floor) farther on than this picture shows, where the revenue-service N/R trains descend. There is a very surprising lack of graffiti or vandalism at this location. There were no rats or other signs of life present here, either. In fact, it almost appears to be new construction!
